Nearly finished my drive, just the perimeter blocks to cut in and then we get rain of biblical proportions
Now the sand that was under the Tegula blocks is lying in the road _________________ Boxhill Chippendales

Hope you have been out and cleaned up the road Tusky, don't want a biker having a nasty spill on the beach that you have caused.
Need any help at the weekend? Little one would be glad of the work...... _________________ Its better to regret something you did rather than something you didnt do... |

I've had some tests done as I've not been feeling too well for a while, and was told to make an appointment next monday for the results. Surgery have left a message on answer phone to contact them today. Not sure if something is up and they want to see me now or just to confirm that it's ok for monday. Their phone line is closed until 2.30pm ! _________________ It's all down to quality of life ! |

Ace, I shall have words with the brit bike owners club and get them to pay you a visit. An hour should be enough to transform that nicely finished drive to a well used and old looking one.
Well done mate. _________________ Its better to regret something you did rather than something you didnt do... |

Just got my first gas bill at this house. It is using about 20% more gas to heat it than the old house was at the same time last year even though it is smaller and we have been really careful about our useage. Must be the lack of double glazing I guess. |

Either more layers or more exercise to keep warm, should help reduce the heating. I know its not great looking, but apparently bubble wrapping the insides of the windows helps stop the heat loss through them, temporary fix perhaps until you get double glazing. Also make sure there is plenty of insulation between the loft and main house, can save a fortune in heating. _________________ Its better to regret something you did rather than something you didnt do... |

All good advice but we can't make any changes to the house as it is rented. We are only putting the heating on when we are still cold after wearing at least three layers and the thermostat is only set to 17C. Will just have to grin and bear it until the house in Guildford is sold and we can buy one here. |

Some cnut at Heine Gericke Reading saying "oh look, you've got a nut missing on your clutch lever" then using his thumb to loosen the bolt. And very kindly advising me that I should find a nut for it because it might come loose.
Needless to say, I've already stolen one off the old Hornet. But what kind of twat loosens someones clutch lever? Especially when that same person works for the place you're buying stuff from. _________________ You start the game of life with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience. If you can't get it going with bungee cords and gaffa tape, it's serious. |

May be he was just trying to show you how easy it could come undone. you would have felt the "cnut" had it not been pointed out and your clutch lever fell off on your way home |
