I was taught a very long time ago that there is a way of corresponding to people if you want to get your view across/want results or even just want to be taken seriously. Its stood me in good stead in work and business these last 20 odd years.
I wouldn't be surprised if the "complaint" just gets binned as another bore of the day. Now don't get me wrong. I'm not having a pop or a dig, just pointing out what effect such an email would have if I were the person who recieved it. |
Being in the job I'm in, I have to be well aware of how to communicate in many different circumstances using many different channels. Communications can vary between giving someone a kick up the arse or a slap on the wrist through to requesting a favour or simply passing information.
What amuses me is that you seem to think I was being serious when I wrote the letter or that I expected any result from it, I didn't even expect a reply. I'm quite frankly surprised it even got read past the first paragraph. I had fun writing it, it kept me amused for a few minutes, so it served its purpose even before the lovely Claire at BBC Complaints Department read my words.
Just curious, in light of what you've learnt about communication in the last 20 odd years and of the fact that you seem to have an idea of how peoples words will be received, what do you think the people on the receiving end of your words often think of you?
Not having a pop or a dig, just asking the question. _________________ You start the game of life with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience. The objective is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck.
If you can't get it going with bungee cords and gaffa tape, it's serious. |

Yes, I did know the father at the time of conception and we were married.

That's a shame. Guess it keeps you out of mischief though
It's not often we get to spend Valentine's together coz of Robert's shifts, so I like to make the most of it when we can. _________________ We are all born mad. Some remain so. ~ Samuel Beckett 1906-1989 |
