Pop star to Opera star... Ffs... One of the 'mentors' being feckin Jenkins... Who's never actually sung an Opera, only murdered arias from Operas ffs in fact Taz, can you start a new Poll for whether people should hang for murdering music? I'm sure the target audience of tone deaf old codgers will appreciate it though..! _________________

white smoke sounds head gaskety to me... When it's cool, take the radiator cap off and check you've not lost coolant... Don't rely on the expansion bottle level... And don't always trust the temp gauge! _________________

Or ...... take it to one of our mechanically minded people on here before it destroys itself and costs a fortune! (or just trade it in for something newer ) _________________ It's not the speed of life that bothers me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Saw it was on last night & hastily flipped channels - bet it wound Melz right up!
The one that wound me up was the episode of "Faking It" where they took some idiot kid who couldn't even read music and tried to pass him off as an orchestra conductor. The final performance was truly cringeworthy. _________________ "Take advantage of her being in a wheelchair while you can, mate - 'cos that's the only time you'll be able to push her around!" -Barry H |

These sort of programs are all well and good, but they do really 'cheapen' the opinion of the general public towards the years of training required to excel at something such as singing or conducting, because in reality, they(the celebs/fakers) will not reach any great standard. That said, I watched a few episodes of 'maestro', and the wrong person(Sue Perkins) won that... She was the 'safe' option- Goldie, with no music reading ability etc was far better at lifting the energy of the orchestra (although of course they could more or less play themselves anyway). He certainly had that special spark to lift the performance - being a musiciany type you'll probably appreciate, whereas Sue, although on paper was more 'musical' didn't have anywhere near the right energy for it, but she was the safe bet... _________________

Thought tinned stuff was ok to bring back from the 3rd world?
Someone I knew got a bollocking for taking a big jar of Marmite into Australia... Funny Aussie customs grumbled about that, yet failed to detect the copious amounts Canabis resin in his shoes... man... Long time ago mind _________________
