To me it didn't sound right, so I've nagged him for the last 2 weeks to go and see a doctor (he lives 140 miles away). The doc says he's had a mini-stroke(s) and has put him on 1/4 aspirin a day. He already has medication for high blood pressure.

Is this enough? I read on NHS Direct that a special assessment should take place. Or is it a case of there's nothing that can be done anyway and if the major one happens, it happens. Sad

And of course, despite the fact that yesterday was the first time I'd ever heard of this work (with no indication of deadline, of course), it will now undoubtedly be my fault that it's late and hasn't met the boss's promised deadline to the client.

Get the same situation with the nob head "salesman" we have, tosspot.

Suzi, this story has been getting a lot of coverage on the TV news too.
I agree with Ninjabob.

I hope he is better soon.

Not so much pissed me off, but saddened me.

Having my 21yr old cat put down this morning. Whilst it was the right thing to do, it was still tough to say good bye.

Went to a certain shop today in Findon to buy some new 2 piece leathers and a bike cover. I browsed for over 20 mins and no staff came to ask if I needed help. The place was empty of customers and the two staff just sat at the counter.

I could have asked but I'm a bloke and don't do that.

I was ignored so I fucked off. They would have made a sale today. Maybe they didn't need the business.

Suppose I'll go and see the other surly gits at J&S instead.

I've been there a few times, even bought a £800+ suit there but always was seriously unimpressed with the service. Shame, could be a really good business.

Buying a new helmet, then coming out the shop and seeing a brand new screw in my tyre, decided to be smart and leave it in there and go straight to a garage, finding several garages who were to busy to fit me in today (fair enough).
phoning my mate to see if he new anyone else, so went to one in orpington, £25 quid (very cheap) all fixed, the screw was about 2.5 inches long.
