Assuming you mean homebrew here? Been brewing my own beer for a while now. Damn good stuff and very satisfying. Definitely the way to go out here as it costs a lot for the imported english ales.

Aye it is. What I've started doing is instead of the 1kg of sugar in the FV is substituting 500g of spray malt and 500g of brewing sugar. To make up the alcohol content I've been adding around 150g into the second fermentation. I've been getting a full bodied not overly strong ale. Its a good session ale of around 5%. Very easy to drink which is where the problem satrts!

.............this is getting too close to knitting for my liking, been out on the bike recently?

Been using the partial mash method myself so lots of malt doing the alcohol work rather than sugar. Also using liquid yeast starters and boy does that make it ferment like crazy. If you need links to lots of recipes let me know and I'll PM them to you.

Hoping to get on the bike soon once the freezing rain buggers off for good, had enough slides in the pick up. Looking forward to trying out my new Gerbing heated jacket.

Will leave the knitting needles to Wivvy................
