literally just got back from a 4 day stay over mainly due to our daughter getting married there , roads are worse than ever, local drivers deadly.
Jens family live there and we have spent a lot of time there and this week covered most of the island roads, lots of road works going on at the moment leading to temp lights in the most unexpected places around bends so be very careful.
The island does have its own micro climate due to its location so I wouldn't trust a forecast as far as I could throw the forecaster, daughters wedding for instance ...forcast said sunny morning and overcast for the afternoon .....yeah ok at 12 midday a gazebo was looking perfect ...by 1245 it looked as though hurricane hilda had passed through and one wrecked gazebo and a washed out sundeck.
enjoy and I hope the weather holds out. _________________ Rust is lighter than carbon fibre! |

Had a great time on the I.O.W. Brilliant sunshine all day and traffic free roads around the south coast. And the fare was £33 return.
