I don't doubt that you do Marc - but then so do loads of other people who probably find it difficult to make ends meet each month. It's not about who pays the most - it's about trying to create a fair society where those who can afford to pay a little more help those who can't.
I'm not defending this government or their policies or pretend to be a staunch labour supporter. I know there's loads wrong with this country - but it's a damn sight better than many. |

I think the whole concept of staged income tax is wrong... a blanket 25% on everything for everone would be fairer.
Why should anyone be penalised for being successful in their chosen field...?
F*ck this I'm off to the Isle of Man 15% income tax and taking the TT mountain section to work every day.... beats the hell out of the A25 _________________

Hearing about the two lads on HMS Tireless, i know there are a couple of us on here that are ex-RN.
Two brave lads prepared to defend our country whilst these little urban cnuts go around stabbing each other and we have to go paying out our taxes having them stitched up so they can then attack the same Police and NHS staff that try and help them!
Wanna fight you little cnuts go and join the services and see how hard you are. _________________ Speed Limits are Minimums and remember Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one

Bring back national service... especially now I'm too old to do it
When I was in France at the weekend, I found it really moving seeing all the momuments in the Somme region. Young men, such as my great grandfather who at the age of 18 fought for our freedom under constant shell fire and chemical attacks. Quite humbling really. Something not appreciated by the majority of 18 year olds these days _________________

I remember from my childhood (20 years ago or more) hearing the story of someone explaining to women living in the third world how we in our country live, in particular the fact that we can just turn on a tap inside our homes and have as much fresh water as we want. Apparently the reply from the women was along the lines of "how happy the women of your country must be".
This morning on the news there was an item saying an estimated 1/6 (I think) of the world's population still do not have access to clean drinking water.
How can there still be so many people in the world without something as basic as fresh drinking water?? |

if the people with 4X4's are moaning about the tax and that they should be allowed to drive what they want without being penalised then it's only fair that I should be allowed to smoke where I want to after all I pay extra tax on tobacco _________________ The Stevie Wonder of rideouts!

easy
raise our end of the channel tunnel by 100 feet and turn it into a one way sewerage system.
Total ban on immigration for the next 10 years while we hunt down the existing fuckers and kick them out, after making them work in public services to pay for their air fair first.
Uk companies banned from using non uk call centres
National service re instated for all 16 year olds
all public order offenders made to do compulsary time in the armed services
all convicted rapists and child molestors given compulsary castration
all those convicted of violent offences (muggers, happy slappers etc) made to spend 2 weeks being sparring partners for heavy weight boxing professionals
Ban on non uk based charities until all the people in this country who really need the help are looked after first (not being rude but if all the millions we send to Africa was spent on uk cancer research instead Tinks may be better by now)
How's that for starters? _________________ The Stevie Wonder of rideouts!

Vodafone 3G is down for most of the South ... I've just phoned them as I've been having problems with my mobile all day ....
If any of you are affected, then change from 3G to GSM under 'settings' 'network'. _________________ Are you ready boots ... ? |
