Yes my feet are on the pegs..but i have a theory..........motocross boots..nice and rigid, and slinging my arse off the side of seat should do it..
wish me luck..gonna try tomorrow |
Not wanting to rain on your parade, piss on your chips etc. But, please be prepared to drop it rather a lot! Especially if you decide to venture into the bike's natural environment. If you need confirmation of this, just ask Shaz(Rossi bird)
Oh and one more thing.
Gissa go before you drop it too many times |
He's right, i ended up on me arse more often than not on me DRZ400s. In all honesty i wouldnt have one for the road as theyre too uncomfortable, great for the off roading but then theyre a total pain in the arse trying to pick em up all the time. |
Go to at least try...keep being told "don't knock it till you tried"....but that was about something totally different
I have got it with the intention of playing in the mud....not on the tarmac (hell no, that would hurt) _________________ graceful...........not |

The ER5 is finally going! I have persuaded Mike that it is time for him to upgrade so we are getting a Faser and I'm going to get him to add me to the insurance too
Anyone want to buy an ER5? |

Er, Scatty, when you go head first into a tree off roading, it hurts, I can assure you of that. You also tend to fall off on rocks and stuff, they also hurt. Make sure you get the correct kit, you need loads of armour. You should also be ready to take spares, as robust as these bikes appear, leavers do and will break. You will get punctures, so take a spare inner tube with you and a couple of tyre leavers to boot. Never ride off road alone, you may not get found for quite some time if anything happens.
Remember, its dangerous out there. Take care, do the right things and you shall have loads of fun though. _________________ Its better to regret something you did rather than something you didnt do... |

The first 2 or 3 years that I had a trail bike it did more miles off-road than on. The above advice is the one I would most recommend you heed!
Best of luck with it by the way. I have a feeling you are gonna need it _________________ The lunatics have finally taken over the asylum |

sounds liek your day was similar to mine slappy
front end stripped off my bike waiting for fork seals to arrive, getting some new clip ons and a black screen off a mate, braided hose should be on its way too.
front caliper stripped and rebuilt with new pistons and seals
cleaned up both wheels so they now look white again
could really do with some new mini indicators if anyone has any spare!
o and my insurance started this morning and my mot is booked for a week wed!
should be on the road soon! |
