Hitting a motorcycle courier because he didn't look and went straight into my way, giving me zero reaction time.
Then tells me off for riding on the inside, I guess he doesn't realise that if it was a car, or a cyclist, he'd have had more of an issue.
Then the guy had the cheek to run off, not before I had gotten his numberplate down though.
My bike's not too happy at the moment either, doing a bit of a jumping thing - hoping it's nothing big - it can't be, being a CG-125.
Glad I had all the gear on. Ahh. London. |

Report it to the police, I think he has commited an offence if he has not swapped details at least. Also, if comes down to insurance etc, it would look better on you. And another thing, he may well be doing the same thing of course and claiming that you didn't stop or something, so best to get your backside covered. _________________ Its better to regret something you did rather than something you didnt do... |

Yep - got a Road Traffic Incident form from Chelsea police station, going to fill it in today and pop it in tomorrow (they need to see my drivers license and CBT etc, which I don't keep on me)!
Might give those Carbon Neutral courier thingies a call, try and get his name that way, and/or confirm he does work there.

I had a poxy cyclist pull right into my path today on Tower Bridge road. As she came out, she didn't even look to her right to check for traffic, fortunatley I was going slowly and eased off the throttle but I gave her an earful at the traffic lights. She apologised though.
I think it shouuld be compulsory for cyclists to have third party insurance. _________________ Mini Cooper S |

At least she apologised, I see too many cyclists who think that they can never be in the wrong.
I like cycling, but I think these particular cyclists do make the rest of them look bad. Just like bad drivers can make people think all drivers are bad, bad riders, etc. etc.
I'm not sure about the insurance, I doubt they would have any take up - I mean, look how many drivers and riders don't have it now anyway!
Also, spoke to the witness to todays accident, and apparently the courier went into me. I couldn't remember all the details, it was a bit of a blur who went into who. But I know whose fault it was! |

Being a member of the CTC gives you millions of pounds (5 I think) of third party insurance absolutely free , well, for the cost of membership anyway. _________________ So many roads, so little time. |

I don't know what their game is. We agreed to accept their offer subject to exchange happening by mid august. It is now the second half of september and they still are saying they are not ready to exchange and won't be rushed. Rushed!!! We accepted the offer around 11 July!!!! Have said that if it doesn't exchange this week then it goes back on the market on Friday but it is clear from what the Estate Agent has said that getting to a point where we can exchange this week is now impossible. Looks like we are back to square one |

I despair for the human "civilisation."
As most of you know, I wrote off my motorbike a month ago and was carted off in an ambulance, spent 4 days in hospital etc.
I received a letter through the post today, the lady whose car I hit is trying to claim against me for personal injury. I hit the front wing of her car at around 35-40mph, not even her door. She was uninjured, the police statements say so. And considering I glanced off the front wing of her car, she isn't exactly going to have whiplash...and now the fucking bitch is trying to claim against me for personal injury? WTF?!?
So, lemme get this right, I break my jaw in two places, fuck my knee, rip a chunk out of my arm, mess up my shoulder some, take a bad blow to my left hand and lie in a ditch full of water unconscious for 10-15 minutes then get carted off in an ambulance to lie in hospital for 4 days....and SHE, in perfect health, then tries to claim against me for personal injury? I'm glad she's squeezing for money and not blood or my fkn head would explode.
What kind of fucking bitch is she? Almost a shame I didn't dive through her window and take her fkn head off. Now THAT's a pretty visual.
After the stress of the wreck, losing my bike, having to limp to and from the bus stop every day, not being able to eat properly and the pain of all..the last thing I need is some sleazy krak whore trying to play money grabber to feed her addiction.
I feel so much better after saying all that. _________________ You start the game of life with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience. The objective is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck.

Poor woman. She must have had such shock. I think it's time for a reprise of the "Blame Wivvy" game, but use "Blame Biker-Spawn" instead.

LMAO
Thanks AJ, I needed that laugh..
The accident was really my fault, came round a corner onto a crossroads and she was in front of me turning right..I didn't have time to stop, managed to avoid the back of her car, but glanced off her front wing. There was a car waiting at the crossroads to her left, so that escape route was out of the question. _________________ You start the game of life with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience. I know this is different, but, many moons ago I had a nasty car accident with my (now very ex) girlfriend in the car. She was injured, taken to hospital, released the next day with cuts and bruises and a minor bump to the head. I had some injuries as well and to make things worse I was only third party so I lost my motor.
Anyway, me and her split up about two and a half years later, not on the best of terms. Shortly after that I recieved a letter from a solicitors that I had never heard of telling me that action was being taken against me by her for the accident and that they are acting on behalf of my old insurance company. So basically, they were on my side. I recieved this huge bundle of paperwork through the post about a week later and i was gobsmacked by what i was reading. She was claiming that she recieved massive injuries, nightmares, flashbacks, totally unable to work, can't walk properly and the worst thing of all, she stated that doctors think it would be very unlikely that she would ever have kids....... Bearing in mind i had been still with her for 2 1/2 years after the accident I knew that all this was bollox. I went for a meeting with the solicitors and told them all this, I started gathering people who would also be able to say that this was all bollox. As time went by I pretty much started to build my own case rubbishing her case and all the time i was getting more and more stressed and more and more pissed off by it all.
Eventully, a very good friend of mine said to me why am i bothering, it's in the hands of a solicitor, any pay-out is going to be by the insurance company, why am i getting myself stressed out about it.....They were wise words, i was getting very stressed for nothing, so i stopped. And felt better for it.
The bitch got a pay out of only about 5 grand. I know that sound a lot, but what her side had set out for was a lot lot more than that figures of over 50,000 had been suggested
Don't get yourself stressed about her claim, that's what you paid your insurance for, leave it to them.
Oh, and aparently she now has TWO kids |

Not all so different. Really does highlight the need in some people for pettiness and malevolence though.
Gotta love how people are so honest.....

Tossers the lot of em.... tis the "blame culture".. thanks a million to the good old U S of Arse for "inventing" that and exporting it...
I assume you have legal expenses cover? If so that's their job to fight out that sort of stuff... in any case, I know it's little help, but as far as I know a claim is a claim so either way it shouldn't affect yout premium if she claims a tenner or 5 grand - make sense?
Unfortunately these people know how to "work the system" to their own benefit _________________

And thats one of the main reasons for higher insurance premiums, the new suing culture that we are in. _________________ Its better to regret something you did rather than something you didnt do... |
