Got to wait til 3rd December for my blood test results as the doctor I'm seeing does not have an appointment free according to the receptionist, til then. Could be just high cholesterol, will have to wait. _________________ It's all down to quality of life ! |

Waiting until 3 December sounds like it isn't urgent Fred. That's good isn't it?
Good luck with the results. |

ARdee, you can get some stuff that's a bit like tough clingfilm that you stick to the window frames with double-sided tape and heat up with a hairdryer. Means you can't open the window until you're ready to chuck out the clingfilm stuff but you'd be amazed at how much warmer the place feels, and you can't see that you've got anything on the window at all. Might be worth a try, not expensive to do either, and it's definitely temporary. |

Fitting chain and sprockets to a bandit 650 to find that the chain was too short
112 LINK chain was supplied as per the manual also, so no ones fault.
After checking with Suzuki it became apparent that a 112 is for an unfaired and a 116 is required for the faired (GSX650S 05-06)
Why they couldn't print that in the owners manual is beyond me!
Never mind nothing lost as bike not required until a few days!

To be honest i didnt think that their was a difference between the chains on the faired/unfaired models, but cheers for the heads up as i know a few people with the Bandit 650 so i can warn them now! |

That should be the Number of drivers....
(sorry - pet hate.... ...blame my mother....)
Its simple ...if you can count them .. 2 buttons, 10 sweets, 14 motorcycles, 2 policemen, etc ...then we count them in 'numbers'...
If 'quantity' requires that the item be weighed ... a lb of concrete, 500g of meat, etc ...then we count in 'amount'...
...'drivers' are counted, not weighed - therefore it is correct to say the number of drivers, not the amount of drivers....
...although .....maybe those drivers who fail to look possibly deserve to be weighed rather than counted...???? ..as in "10stone 8 of total wanker"
...and I now see other anomolies...
...one could have 10lb of lamb ...or 2 lambs
...a lb of sweets ...or 26 sweets
...5kg of concrete ....or 3 former friends who got fed up by my anal ramblings
(mother has a lot to answer for )
