Smallest sprog is on a school trip, so I temporarily only have one, so... went to work on the bike, picked up small person on the bike, rode from Thames Ditton to Haslemere and back to Guildford on the bike. Lovely weather to have a first decent bit of riding for months and months.
BUT... the zip on my backpack decided to fail while I was going home, so now I only have half a pair of shoes. Lord knows where the other one ended up, it's probably somewhere along the A3. (I always wondered how those odd shoes ended up on the road, and now I know!) |

Rode bike into work today
Yet another major collision on the A23 @ Handcross Hill... how do the buggers manage it??? They're all going in the same direction ffs! Guess people are just careless/reckless/bad drivers and not awake enough, but seriously
Anyway, slotted in behind a police car and an ambulance, so didn't hold me up at all _________________ Don't wait for your ship to come in .. torpedo it out of the water and move on to the next target |

Funnily enough... I was talking to someone the other day I think I know what the problem is there...
Many moons ago when you joined the A23 northbound at Handcross there was a very short slip road, which was a mare... What they've done is widened it so the slip road becomes lane 1, however when you join there, unless you know it feels like you are on the hard shoulder... Hence people panic and cut across into lane 2 causing mayhem/accidents _________________

Well it's actually the two lane bit through the twisty, uphill section that the majority of accidents occur.
This morning there were two fairly wrecked cars in the outside lane and another off to the left. _________________ Don't wait for your ship to come in .. torpedo it out of the water and move on to the next target |

My daughter, Caroline, has been temping with 3M for 3 years.
She's just been offered (and accepted) a permanent position with them - really chuffed for her. _________________ We are all born mad. Some remain so. ~ Samuel Beckett 1906-1989 |

Making a cardboard cut out of the waste of space that is our "office manager" has been off all week "sick" *<ahem cough bollocks>* and putting it in her chair. The cardboard cut out makes no mistakes, has a better telephone manner and is not using our company time to run her sugar daddy's business... Guess you had to be there really... _________________
