Discovering when I went outside to uncover my bike to go to work this morning that Va Va had unlocked her bike from the back of mine and had left her lock (to which I don't have a key) wrapped around my back wheel. 'Phoned in work will get there when she comes back to unlock my bike. Mad

Couldn't you have cut through the lock and nicked your own bike? If not, be grateful as she was preventing yours from being stolen!! Laughing

Went to see the solicitor dealing with the house sale. Rode into their car park, but I needed to turn round. Thing is, it was a funny layout with slopes all over the place.

Guess who dropped her bike.

Broke the end off the brake lever and the throttle cable protector thingy by the handlebar is cracked and there was petrol all over the place as I'd just filled up and the bike was more or less upside-down (if I do something, I do it in style). Felt really sheepish going into the solicitor's office to ask for assistance to get the thing vertical!

D'oh!

Thankfully nothing major. The fairing had a crack which the garage kindly agreed to mend.

Phoned to ask if it was ok to take it in but told no, the repairer was on hols for a week.

left it a week phoned again. took it up they told me it'll take 2 weeks.

2 weeks later i've been told the repairer is off on hols STILL! Shocked
they apologised and I can't moan as it's gonna be a free repair but it's infuriating.

Oh no, no bruises to anything other than my pride. EVERY time (so far) that I've dropped it, it's been going at no more than a tired baby's crawling pace and both my feet have been on the ground. The only problem has ever been that the ground wasn't flat! And for all that you lot aren't impressed with cruisers, having blimmin' great engine bars is a godsend - I honestly don't think a couple of diddy little mushrooms would be able to cope.

I think I need to change my signature to something more in keeping with my propensity to get horizontal a lot of the time, but then you lot might get the wrong idea! Very Happy
