I agree, you do not normally do the whole public thing so guess this must be important to you hence... _________________

Turned out to be the magnetic switch inside the crank case...managed to swap it without shredding the gasket. Bike started first time and off down to S. Marston via M4, arrived 9:30pm. Unfortunately, during the process of trying to fix the bike, we swapped the rectifier for one off my old bike. Broke down in Bath on Saturday, towed back to Wokingham (took 1 1/2 hours to arrive, 2 hours to tow back), half hour to half remove the tank, swap the rectifier again, refit the tank, fiddle with the tickover and then another 45 minutes down to S. Marston...for the second time. Arrived at 6:30pm.
All in all, a great weekend. _________________ You start the game of life with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience. The objective is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck.

I had a mate who thought towing would be a good idea years ago and is now confined to a wheelchair and paralysed from the chest down, so not the best idea _________________ Anything you say may be taken down and used as evidence in a court of law, or boxhill forum!!
