Bob, you appear to me to not make any contribution to the forum other than as a butt for the ploughing jibes. Try being a little more proactive and if it of interest people will join in.

WD, enjoy your holiday, I think you need the break.

Let me say first that I have no gripe with you Marc but you seem to not want to let this drop so you give me no alternative but to respond.

You seem to be singling out myself and WD for your vitriol so take a look back through you own posts and see if the Okey Cokey is justified. I can save you the trouble - it is - you do it all the time. Not only did you muck people about with your ins and outs you then had the audacity to arrange another ride out at from Box @ 10:00 am

The ploughing jibes I am more than happy to take especially from people who helped me on the day or who I inconvenienced on that day. I can give as good as I get as they will no doubt confirm. If you are unfortunate to have an off - I sincerely hope you don't - I hope you will be as gracious in accepting the jibes that inevitably follow.

By being proactive do you mean posting bike related topics or going on a rideout when I say I am? - guilty as charged.

By being proactive posting thousands of irrelevant inane comments? - not guilty.

Having the occassional fun with topics - guilty as charged.

Burdoning people with my personal problems on a public forum - not guilty.

The "Nuggetmeister" tag above my Avatar was given to me by our leader (as well as Farmer Bob which I have forgiven him for) for relevant posting.

I am now going to sulk and leave this forum now. No amount of good riddance type posts will bring me back.

Was just gonna try and tempt you back with some topless pics!

But that is just it, it is just the opionion of some. It is not the opinion of everyone.

IMHO, perhaps a more constructive position would be for the "established members" who have the concerns re the quality to post some decent biking / discussion threads. That would be better than imposing some sort of quasi terrorist attack on the content of the posts before and get pissed off when challenged. Alternatively why not arrange a pub meet where those that attend get a chance to give their views and suggestions for the forum. Subject to the forum owner's approval.

Further; rideouts are happening: Instruction is happening (for the time being): Social events are happening: Helping others with their bike problems etc are happening. Most of the time they are being organised throught the medium of the forum.

What more should there be?

It is no different to TV. If one does not like the content, simply switch off or change channels / threads.

If the mods keep up the job of minimising un-needed spam (rather than joining in) in the serious threads, I am struggling to see why people should be concerned and certainly no need for the sort of crap that went on last night and today.

I for one do not like bullies, hence my stance.

But that is just it, it is just the opionion of some. It is not the opinion of everyone. I have counselled the opinion of quite a few, and they are of the same opinion as me. And there are many more than you might imagine Marc.

That would be better than imposing some sort of quasi terrorist attack on the content of the posts before and get pissed off when challenged. Alternatively why not arrange a pub meet where those that attend get a chance to give their views and suggestions for the forum. Subject to the forum owner's approval. I'm unaware of quasi-terrorist attacks or being pissed off when challenged, but your increasingly beligerent attitude is making me somewhat perplexed. We seem to already have had the "pub meet", and those present made clear their views and suggestions. The reason so many older members of OUR forum are no longer around is because they have been driven away by the increasing amounts of meaningless drivel - goodnight/good morning/aches & pains/amateur psychotherapy sessions etc etc that seem to have occurred over the past 12 months. And for you to whine again about not reading the thread just doesn't cut it any more.

Further; rideouts are happening: Instruction is happening (for the time being): Social events are happening: Helping others with their bike problems etc are happening. Most of the time they are being organised throught the medium of the forum.

The sort of crap that went on last night was a direct result of a few peoples desire to return to the style of forum we have known and enjoyed for quite some time now. I know for a fact that last night's banter was VERY MUCH ENJOYED by many people. If you cannot see that and if you find it offends you Marc, there are alternatives - like not reading the thread, going somewhere else etc etc

I for one do not like bullies, hence my stance. And I in return Marc. As Ninjabob has rightly pointed out, you seem to have targetted both he and I with your vitriol and general bad temper.

I got drawn in to this and accused of blowing smoke out of my arse by putting up a thread about knitting. Seem to remember a quote like yawn.

So because of this i would put Marc as the bully. I also as a newer member of the forum can see both side to the coin. But im not going to get slated for having a laugh.

There were alot of peepole who had a laugh last night and today. I havent backed away from any challenge and wont. But all the posting of crap are going on a bit. I think that peeps want to get a bit of a life.

Bob..... Totaly agree with what you say !!! Baloo please don't take this out of context, as i consider you a good friend but you have been one of the biggest contributors to the amount of drivel posts on here of late..... I am sorry but the "tea with a good friend" etc etc is so pointless and does not need sharing with everyone other than the two individuals concerned....

Tusky, I have never said I was not a contributor to it. What I have said is that it does not bother me. Besides, I was not aware the "What Made Me Smile" thread was limited to the events on the forum. If I had tea with someone and it made me smile, it is a fact. I do know some people not on the forum.

BTW, WD and NinjaBob, I was not targeting you, I was responding to posts that caused me a reaction. It could have been anyone.

So when you want to look though the thread to see what bit of road made someone smile or what cock in an Audi pulled out and pissed someone off you have to go through all the crap that should be on Facebook.

Trouble is that these type of posts are followed by you know who you are and a big wink Wink They are in events and runs, general etc etc....

I have allways been a big advocate of the social side of the forum and used to get a lot of stick for it but when I look in events and runs to find lunchtime, teatime and anytime posts on weekdays followed by conflicting runs at the weekend, it is plain daft.... I know many peeps are single but do they they no life outside the forum???

Conflicting runs, especially on a teaching day would never have been posted... This is very bad form and should have been done by PM or facebook Twisted Evil

but again its always been like that Confused serious stuff tends to get put in its on thread. Like when WD had some idiot biker acting like a cnut, he made a new thread about it, when barry had to put up with not getting his operation he made a new thread, neenypoo had a great first track day new thread...

keep the facebook stuff in those 3/4 threads, anything serious or that would start a proper discussion gets its own thread in off-topic, isnt that the point of it Confused

Yup. Have to agree with you there teacher and photo chick! I m never consistently leaving comments on the forum everyday! Because some threads you have to trawl through the crap to find something decent! One thing that really bugs me the most is the girly side of the forum, why the constant slagging off of men and ex's! Thats stuff you share with ya best mate over a cuppa or a drunken night. Not on a forum!
Not all men are useless!
