an old friend who moved away ages ago getting in touch tonight through Facebook
Looking forward to the catch up |
V i do not wish to come across as an ass, but
I have stayed in touch with all the people i have ever wanted to and i have never felt the inclination to have to join friends re-united etc etc.
Do you not feel that if it was true friendship you would always have stayed in touch!
I left the services an awful long time ago, or so it seems; and i was determined to stay in touch with two of my closest friends, we have done this without the need for any easy measures, i.e. the internet, is it really as exciting as you make it sound!
Like i said i don't mean to be an ass but you lose touch with people for a reason, normally through lack of the want of wishing to do so! |
this friend had some major problems and issues they struggled to cope with (8 years ago) and shut themself off and moved away from everyone including good friends... every year I have sent a birthday card with short note saying something along the lines of 'Hi, still here if you want to chat/ catch up'
Not sure if all my cards got through as she has moved, so it wasnt really the internet that kept the tie but it did enable her to find me in her own time, I am just glad she is back in touch
The birthday is very soon _________________

Hehe Got it in one, Tusky, though it's "because" rather than "despite"! Though I have also found some interesting sites whilst browsing old threads... Anything you'd care to tell us?!? _________________ Baby Biker Babe!
