Wore my hivis this morning as it was foggy and got badly cut up (almost knocked off) by wvm on the caterham bypass this morning. So followed him closely, flashed my hi-beams in his wing mirror and signaled for him to pull over by pointing to the side of the road.

Mr WVM sees my White lid and hivis jacket and duly pulls over.

I waved at him as I rode past on my Gold biffer and was enjoying a good old belly laugh as he accelerated and tried to catch up with me as I filtered through Caterham.

Priceless lol

No no no

rolling on the floor laughing but as SS says, be careful with encouraging "rage".

A timing light and a reflective jacket are good for waking up half asleep motorists in villages, not that I ever used to do such a thing Not me

CB1300 front end is now "non" rumbly, today's the first time I've ridden it since changing the front wheel bearings last weekend. Although, I did get some funny looks from the guys the steel stockists wondering how I was going to carry the metal I bought on the bike... Guess they'd never seen the capacious underseat storage on a CB1300 Laughing

This in an email

Gordon Brown is my shepherd, I shall not work.
He leadeth me beside still factories.
He restoreth my faith in the conservative party.
He guideth me to the path of unemployment.
Yea, though I wait for my dole,
I own the bank that refuses me.
Brown has annointed my income with taxes,
my expenses runneth over my income.
Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days of his term.
From henceforth, we will live all the days
of our lives in a rented home with an overseas landlord.
I am glad I am British, I am glad that I am free.
But I wish I was a dog and Brown was a tree.
AMEN!

Southern Electric made me smile today ...

Had a power cut @ 7:45 (just as I was about to get in the shower). Checked the trips - all ok. Phoned SE - said someone would be out within 3 hours.

8:00 Engineer rang to say he was on his way from Bracknell.

8:15 SE rang to say someone else in the Close had reported a power failure so engineer was on the way to the transformer.

8:45 Electricity back on.

What a service!

nice to see you, slack alice, phenis, athos, posh burd, and miss v. Quite a productive evening... Link removed from posh birds chain, DDG clutch adjustment, and bar welding the foot on my press is finished Smile thanks to athos for the welding lesson Cool my welding looks slightly less like an iron eating pigeon with the shits has been in town Laughing 2 Thumbs up

only bummer of the evening was taking phenis trumpet for a spin not realising that he always turns the petrol tap off, getting onto busy roundabout at 5pm and it conking out, couple of cranks flattened the battery Rolling Eyes so ended up pushing it back home... Until the last 100yards when I managed to bump it. The gradient into my road looks like nothing, but that's far from the case when pushing 800tons of dead triumph Laughing

You should've seen his face when the phone rang and your name came up on caller ID... Confused Laughing

Already said my thanks on a different thread, but thanks again for the clutch adjustment (much, MUCH better on the way home and didn't hurt my wrist anymore!) and thank you Melz for being so great with the unexpected dinner guests!
