They were using a brand new machine and the pictures were amazing! You could even see the blood flow in the heart chambers!

The sonographer kept muttering how the baby wouldn't stay still for the pics but on the other hand also wouldn't turn over, I ended up having to jump up and down in the corner of the room and having to go for 2 walks before the baby finally turned over.

Letter from my solicitor with offer from 3rd party Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

His advice is to reject it as the medical evidence hasn't yet been finalised and the 3rd party are just making a stab in the dark as to future costs on my back.

My advice is to reject everything right up until the court hearing, and don't accept even then.

Been there, done that, and have now got the many more thousands of pounds than if I'd accepted their early offers.

Generally agree you will get more at trial. However, if your solicitor is happy with an offer that is made and advises you to accept it and you refuse, they can insist that you cover the costs of running to trial, as the "no win no fee" will only apply when they believe there are reasonable prospects of success. If they think an offer is realistic they will not want to run to trial and risk being unable to recover the trial costs or even have a costs award against them, therefore the risk would be placed on you. If you win chances are the costs are covered by the other side, but if you don't beat their offer, you can be lumbered with a costs bill.

Similar thing happened to me when I had my car accident. I hadnt even been assessed by a doctor when they made their offer. Once that was done ended up with an extra £4k

Sorry Mouse, I beg to differ - they're taking the piss out of what you wrote, not the boys! (You could have said "awards from the head teacher" but it wouldn't have been half as funny.)

Oh, and I forgot to say well done to the boys, I'm sure they make their daddy very proud.
