Nothing bike-related, but I witnessed a British, European and World record in the Men's 200m Backstroke. This was in a Masters event (for swimmers of 25 or older) and was in Age Group O.
For those who don't know, that's competitive swimmers aged from 95 - 99. This particular gentleman, aged 96, did 4 lengths of K2 pool in Crawley (that's an Olympic pool, so not yer bog-standard) in a time of 6 mins 10 seconds. The previous world record in that age group was 6 mins 38.
When asked how he does it, he replies "That's easy - I just waited for all the opposition to die off!"

How fucking pathetic, childish, cliquie and absolutely knobbish has this place become!?!?! But, it did make me chuckle.......quite alot
It's obviously not good form to publish PM's on the open forum, so i'm not going to go into details.
But if anyone want's to know more, pm/text/e-mail me |
I'll make it easy for you Mouse. You PMd me asking for a quote to service your bike, I replied with :
"Thanks for your enquiry but I will have to decline your custom.
Mark"
simply because , although I've never met you, I dislike your manner and the way conduct yourself on here. If you think that's "fucking pathetic, childish, cliquie and absolutely knobbish " then I'm even happier I declined your work. _________________ It's not the speed of life that bothers me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
