My Audi is an automatic, but is does have a 3 ltr v6 and the gearbox has three settings. Normal 'drive' for day to day stuff, 'sport' which lets the engine max out and the 'manual' option. Probably not as quick as your Scooby but it still gets a riggle on when required. |
Mine's the cheap version of Waki's! - 2L diesel auto/multitronic. agree not so quick as the scooby, a bit slow accelerating for overtakes, but still a giggle and not too shabby. plus I get about 600 miles from a tank if I don't hoon.
I had manuals for years, swore I would never drive an auto; had one when I first hurt my back, then went back to manual for a couple of years and hated it. Coming back to auto is the best thing I did as far as cars are concerned - you only have to wait for your first M25 traffic jam to really enjoy it! _________________ An open mouth is a straight line to the mind.

Getting an arsy text message from my landlord this morning, asking why I hadn't changed the bills over to my name, along with some bull about a Gas bill £343.32. I've been here 2 fecking weeks, that's enough gas for 2 years. I did change details over and changed suppliers, it's British gas who have fucked up. They make promises to sort out the transfer then don't communicate...awsome. This just adds to the list of things that need doing
Carpets need a damn good clean, I have done that and paid for it.
Both front and pack doors had gaps of upto 8 mm, letting in drafts so fecking cold I may as well have turned the heating off. I again fitted draft excluder at my expense and time.
Kitchen door has 2 inch gap in one corner, where wood is rotten.
Both front doors are stiff cos they need plaining down, try opening those with one hand. Front door also need a deadlock.
The patio doors didn't lock and had a gap one side, I rectified that too.
The shower pump was not working for 1st week, seems better now but still needs replacing.
Changeover valve on the boiler doesn't work for the hot water so I have to use Immersion heater as well, thats going to cost me on electric.
Used the oven a few days ago, the door handle came of in my hand as it has got so hot and brittle over the years, probabley due to too much venting in the wrong place, seal missing maybe.
I turn the kitchen light on a few days ago and one of the spot lights proper explodes all over the kitchen surface, house plunges into darkness as the mcb tripped.
Gas fire doesnt work, only pilot light.
As yet none of this has been dealt with, still waiting and I had to pay 6 months rent in advance.
Seriousley why are landlords such direspectfull fucking cocks, it's all his responsibility and should have been sorted before I moved in, not like he didn't have time the house was empty for 2 months.
aaaarrrrgggghhhh
rant over. _________________ Comfortably Numb

Really shit drive back from Yorkshire today. Some arsehole somewhere decided it would be a grand idea to shut the A14 eastbound and diverting all that traffic down the A1... Which is littered with roadworks and even a set of temporary traffic lights on the A1M WTF?! _________________
