Bearing in mind I mentioned how good I thought they were the other day I'm suprised you'd not called them already Rolling Eyes

I did, but they were not picking up!!! I had already obtained a quote from them, but needed to check they were still ok with the lowering.

Update: Best price still pretty crazy, but Express are now offering £717 fully comp with all the usual extras (forgot to factor that in previous quote). Bearing in mind Performance Direct were offering £908, that's not bad! Just waiting to hear back from A-Plan now...

On what?

Their quote. Doubt they'll beat Express, but I'd at least like to close that door before committing.

Shocked Shocked Shocked

Tried BikeSure? They came through cheapest for me.

BikeSure did the Adrian Flux quote - they couldn't give me fully comp on account of my postcode. They were only willing to provide 3rd party.

Funnily enough I am trying to sort that out at the same time!!! Not strictly for insurance purposes, but definitely bike-related...

Looked at that too - very dry area for space in garages round mine, even at extortionate rates! Razz

Not sure I have any mates full stop! Big Cry

Razz

Not really in the area. And I wouldn't want to be catching a train or bus everytime I wanted to get the bike out, or be dependant on someone else being in etc before I could collect it. But thanks Smile

well today, i checked my account to see what transactions had occured yesterday, or rather how much more they'd spent from MY ACCOUNT! Apparently I spent £167 with ryanair-dublin! Had phoned the customers services team at 8am pronto and told them about it all. Their fraud investigation team didn't start until 9am, so he took all the details of the transactions I said I didn't make, including the new £167, and sent an email to them. There was also another £439 trying to go through, but hadn't quite made it before i stopped the card.

What has pissed me off is they should have noticed this. when after spending £6 in sainsburys wimbledon, i apparently spent money in spain and then italy, all in the same day!!!!! Then spent money the very next day in dublin!!! Surely something in their system should've flagged this?!?!!

And its now 10pm and still no return phone call from their fraud team....... Evil or Very Mad

BAnking ombudsman might help. there are rules about how soon they have to respond to you. tell the bank you think they are non-compliant and ask for a copy of their complaints procedure. they should move a bit quicker for you. hope you get this sorted soon xxx

I used to deal with customer frauds for Nat West albeit many years ago & things may have changed...but spending £6 on your card in Wimbledon would not have alerted them to the Spain & Italy transactions as that would of been under the 'floor' limit on authorised transactions, the only way this would have flagged was if you were using the card for small amounts very heavily & not within your normal usage. You will probably find that, although several hundred pounds on each transaction to the everyday person is a lot of money, we never used to check transactions unless it was over 1k, then eventually it was raised to 5k.
Doesn't help you I know, but as it is seemingly very obvious these are fraudulent transactions, (unless they think your a jet setter Laughing ) you should ( in theory) get your money refunded more or less straight away. Will also help if you keep any other receipts (even if you pay by cash or on a credit/ debit card from another bank) or ATM withdrawal receipts to prove there is no way you could of been in two places at once. Hope that helps a little.

Got the pan back together, it starts, it runs... But... The gear selector is not returning so you have to return it manually... Not good. Going to try and run it for i bit see if it improves... If not it's engine out again Against a brick wall
