WPMOT? A really busy shift at work....last Christmas we had about 2 patients and spent the day watching Christmas t.v and eating junk....we barely even saw station today!! You would think people would want to put off being ill, until after Christmas day!?
Also, WPMOT...witnessing 'granny dumping' first hand.
A woman who called us because her elderly Dad, who had come out of his care home for Christmas day, had a chest infection. She bundled him off into the ambulance just before lunch and when asked if she was coming in the ambulance, said "nah, i'm not coming to the hospital, i'll ring later on after lunch".
It's Christmas day ffs!! Poor old boy looked properly abandoned _________________ "Life is too short"

Ain't that the truth. Probably one of the worst years I have endured for a very long time. Occassional ups, but mostly way down. |

Thanks for all the GWS's.
Laura is home now with Glandular fever and tonsillitis. She was on an IV drip for 24 hours as she could not swallow at all. Medication is steroids and anti biotics as well as pain killers. This comes just 4 weeks after starting her first job. I do hope they will be sympathetic as she has been advised initially to take 2 weeks off. _________________

Discovering that all the pain and muscle spasms I've been having in my neck, arms and shoulders for a month now have been caused by not 1, not 2, but 3 slipped discs in my neck... I really hope the spinal surgeon is going to be able to sort me out without surgery... but still won't be before I start my new job next week!
On the other hand, at least now I know _________________ Baby Biker Babe!
