Good point! Hadn't thought of that. It's been sooo long since I wrapped some in paper and set fire to it on someone's doorstep before ringing their bell Smile

Nope they were doing a left right at cross roads.

hehe indeed... although, I suspect on the bike I would have been more with it. I'm not going to pretend that I could not have done anything about it had I not been distracted by the day from hell, and this incident was the icing on the fail cake that was 11/1/11 Smile

2 rims, 2 tyres & suspension/track rod bent. TBH given the negligible value of the car and the fact that it's also going to want some other TLC for the impending MoT it may well be time to bin it. Still in terms of VFM it's on 188,000 miles now - I got given(!) it in 2002 with 47,000 miles on it so I can't really complain at 141,000 miles of free motoring. I'll be sad to see the old gal go, never let me down in nearly 9 years and has soldiered on inspite of monumental neglect, I suspect any replacement will be a let down reliability wise, but hey ho.

Very true, better damage to my car than side-swiping a car that potentially had rear passengers, besides which, hitting a volvo would hurt... a lot Smile

Ironically, the previous evening I'd been out with a friend for a drink and they were asking me what they should do with their old nissan spare wheel so I suggested ebaying it... collected it last night(thank you very much, you know who you are Wink Laughing ), and although the wrong size 15" rather than 14" rim and slightly wider (195vs 185) section tyre it has the same stud spacing and there's clearance enough for it to fit the rear of mine if i need to drive it somewhere to torch it... i mean take it to a place of recycling Smile

Time for a Viking funeral! Put a couple of gas cylinders in there and torch it. A fitting end for a warrior car
Very Happy

Not really about having a holiday in the UK, worth every penny of the £77.50 to ride some more of the awesome roads like we did last year, cant wait!
7.2 weeks annual leave and touring is the plan! Very Happy Kneedown x
