solo bunny run this morning as I couldn't get my arse out of bed yesterday to join the wivvy run.
200 miles of which 100 was by 8.15am for a coffee at loomies. No I didn't go direct on the 272. Loads of twistie b roads and A roads, occasionally touching the 272 ( which was actually enjoyable without traffic). Route was made up as I was going, as usual, zig zagging all over the south east. Used some d roads which were more suited to a supermoto, but they filled the gaps between the B roads.
Dropped in at box on the way back and bumped into a couple of faces from here, past and present. Did some knitting there ,
then home for a bacon sarny, coffee and the moto gp.
Now 30,000 on the Triumph...it only had 18,300 ish when I got it last April
The new front tyre makes the bike so much more stable, didn't realise how fecked the MOT failiure was! _________________ Comfortably Numb

Making some wonga on Ebay for bits off the bike that I'm bobbing, the best bit being £12 for the tank badges that I threw in the bin then thought, someone might buy them on ebay, amazing what shit some people will buy lol
So now have a couple of hundred pound towards new parts let the shopping begin. _________________ Anything you say may be taken down and used as evidence in a court of law, or boxhill forum!!

Try Gumtree first, Ebay fees are fucking crazy these days!! Its free
But if you are going Ebay stick it in for 10 gives more people chance to see it. _________________ Anything you say may be taken down and used as evidence in a court of law, or boxhill forum!!

Ebay tends to generate higher prices for stuff. I've seen second hand stuff go for almost new prices. And factor in P&P and you'd be better off buying new. Egay good for the seller, unless you snipe and snag a bit of a bargain as I've just done. |

The footpeg mounting brackets on the Blade are nickel plated steel. Time and weather has made these tatty and cannot be revived without chroming or painting. So I made a pair at work Pice too follow _________________

Dunno as I would trust those. Specially for those arse out of the seat "where the f**k did that bump come from!" moments. There's nothing quite like a snapped off footrest to test ya skills
Honda ain't daft. On a bike with very few steel parts. They were steel for a reason.
I would have thought a pair of solid pegs a better idea.
Oh and keep 'em well greased where the levers pivot. I know from experience that they can seize up if ya don't. _________________ The lunatics have finally taken over the asylum |

I share your concerns but have a taken a few precautions. The material is aircraft grade T6061 alloy and the thickness on the new parts is 5.00mm instead of 3.75mm so 33% thicker. The slot has been machined with a 3mm radius in the corner. I am very anal about polishing so any crack that may develop will be detected hopefully _________________
