ok after admitting defeat after nearly collapsing again last night i went to hospital
sat around most of night lots of tests blood tests, xrays etc etc
the diagnosis isn't fantastic
my white blood cell count is extremelt high and I have an inflamation of nerve running along the side of my head behind my right eye
it's very rare in people under 50 and unnatended can cuase permanent sight damage
the attatck yesterday was a spasm in the nerve causing shooting pain across my head
it's all treatable with drugs and i have an outpatients appt with neurologist in a few days
so no panics but not the greatest situation either _________________ The Stevie Wonder of rideouts!

Inci, get it sorted and get on them drugs to help before it all goes pear shaped. Even I have learnt, sometimes you have to look after No.1 and it sounds like you should be doing just that. Hope the people you see give you good advice and you get yourself back to health as soon as pos. Summers here and you don't want to miss out on any decent weather we get. _________________ Its better to regret something you did rather than something you didnt do... |

Whoa! sorry to hear it m8, but it sounds lijke it can be treated well.
Only thing I can suggest is that having had a heart attack a few years back and having ignored the symptons, the quicker you get the treatment the better in the long run.
I look forward to meeting you out on a run in the near future. |

glad that you went to see what was going on....
at least you can get it sorted... as it would be a bit worrisome if that happened if you were on your bike |

Supposed to meet a customer in Coventry at 11:00 .... left home at 8:00 giving me loads of time ... by 10:15 I was still on the M4 having done 19.2 miles !!!!!!
On the positive side, turned around and am now 'working from home' ... lovely sunshine, almost forgotten this morning's ordeal _________________ Are you ready boots ... ? |
