Very True Biggus. I only want it back so i can sell it. In hindsight i shouldnt have posted its been side ways down the road. But Carole Slash reckon it looks like new. I might wait until the Spring and see what a dealer will part ex it for a Pan.

I have to say I always had problem with my Suzukis, alhough they were stored outside.

A couple of things I did which made a world of difference was to change all the lower down bolts (pinch bolts, caliper bolts, fairing etc) with stainless steel (Honda ones fitted the GSXRs and are cheapish) or even titanium (Pro-Bolt which are not cheap) as well as spray / paint any metal (not the discs Very Happy) liberally with ACF50. Praps worth giving that a go?

Lighter and Petrol sounds an easier option out of ownership

My (now Kate's) Bandit has a few little spots on the frame and a furry bolt or two but for a 11 year old bike with 35k on the clock it still looks good...

Will try ACF50... It's mostly annoying little things, footpegs, gear and brake levers, steering head nut, and more worrying are the fork legs which are developing little rust patches at the top...and don't start me on the brake discs, the things go bloody rusty after an hour!

After VFR ownership (yes, even the red POS) it's annoying to have to look out for rust all the time.

It's nice and warm here too although I am wearing all of my clothes, several hats and pairs of gloves and some old man slippers borrowed from Barry H.

The Landlord has been in touch with the boiler dudes, I'm just waiting for a call from them. Smile
